A jewel in the heart of the outdoor enthusiast's playground, Hotel Stevenson located in city center Stevenson, Washington State, and nestled in the Columbia River Gorge. A lodging destination offering a cozy stay whether you are exploring the gorge, surfing the waves of the river, or sampling locally crafted beverages and cuisine. Originally built in 1909 as the Colonial Hotel, it has hosted a variety of businesses in addition to its traditional hotel and AirBnB rooms. But in 2020, the rediscovered building went through an extravagant transformation to restore its original use. As a blend of modern architecture and original historical details, the reinvented Hotel Stevenson spreads its wings as an upscale, boutique hotel.

Want to learn about the history of our area? Try a visit to the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Center Museum. The museum is designed to explain the historical significance for Skamania County and the Columbia River Gorge. They have an extensive collection of artifacts, photographs, replicas, and historical information. You can also enjoy the numerous exhibits the museum offers.

Want a bird's eye view of Columbia River? Head down to Stevenson Landing, a beautiful pier on the Columbia River, in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. This is an excellent location for viewing the Columbia River and the activities that you can enjoy there.

COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE

Columbia River Gorge is one of the most stunning vistas in the United States. Stretching more than eighty miles through the Pacific Northwest, the canyon can be up to 4,000 feet deep. The gorge is one of the largest national scenic areas in the United States.

You can enjoy the beauty of of Columbia River Gorge by simply driving along the seventy miles of the Historic Columbia River Highway. Along the way, you'll be treated to spectacular views of the Bridge of the Gods, Bonneville Lock and Dam, and Multnomah Falls.

The Columbia River Gorge also has a number of excellent hikes, many of them ending up at one of the 77 waterfalls in the gorge. Popular trails include Wahkeena Falls, Horsetail Falls, Angels Rest, and Mosier Plateau Trail.
